Fresh render of the Samsung Galaxy S9 has popped up on Slashleaks. It confirms the absence of dual cameras and shows a more ergonomically placed fingerprint scanner.
The design does not differ much from its predecessor, the Galaxy S8.
The primary differences are the smaller chin on the front and the
repositioned fingerprint scanner. The top chin features a myriad of
sensors along with the front camera. The display seems a bit longer than
the S8. The render shows three physical buttons, volume control, power
and the dedicated Bixby button. On the bottom lies the USB Type-C port
flanked by the 3.5mm jack and the speaker grill.
Earlier, a back case was reported as belonging to the Samsung Galaxy S9.
The render shows a design that would compliment the case perfectly. The
best part of this design is the new position of the fingerprint
scanner. In the Galaxy S8, reaching the scanner was a bit of a task,
which Samsung learned from and implemented a vertically placed scanner
in the A8 and A8+. If the render is to be believed, the fingerprint
scanner is actually placed in an accessible position. But since Samsung
is yet to give any word on the design of the Galaxy S9, we suggest you
take this news with a pinch of salt.
